Web Designer / Developer
Starting as an assistant to the webmaster in 1999, I helped maintain Pensacola State College’s websites. Since then I have worked my way up to Coordinator of Internet Systems where I manage a team of web developers that design, develop and maintain all of the college’s websites.
After developing my skills at Pensacola State College for a while, I started a small business developing web sites for small, local businesses around Northwest Florida. This has led to the creation and development of other projects such as DORA and a Live Fish Scoreboard.
Working briefly as a Police Officer with the Pensacola Police Department, sometimes you have to walk in a person’s shoes to fully understand what it is they do. I have the utmost respect for those that put on this uniform everyday and feel honored and grateful that I was given a first hand glimpse into what it means to walk the thin blue line.
Proudly serving in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the USCGC Papaw and on Station Pensacola was one of the highlights of my career. My crew was able to go and see Cuba and Haiti during operations “Uphold Democracy” and “Able Vigil” while aboard the Papaw. Then while serving at Station Pensacola, I got to see first hand the devastation Hurricanes can cause after making it through hurricanes Erin and Opal.
